If you know Jim even a little bit you know he shot PICTURES of deer.
We've been in Colorado for exactly three days and have seen two antelope (grazing with some cattle!) and yesterday returning from a hike we saw two deer.
We’re staying in Coal Creek Canyon and are at about 7,000 feet above sea level. It’s quite an adjustment from Florida!
I recall it took me a couple years to get used to the humidity in Florida. I wonder if we’ll be here long enough to adjust, or if our bodies will just tolerate till we move on down the road.
I posted a short piece about our trip here, if you haven’t already read The long road to Colorado. Yes, we got a custom license plate, yes we have a magnet, and yes we know it’s a little cheesy. But it makes us smile, so why not?
In other news, we’re house sitting three
cats…and a LOT of garden. So far everything is still alive, we’re quite pleased with that. The homeowners encouraged us to enjoy the harvest of things that are coming up so far. For those of you who know me, you know gardening is not among my favorite things. It’s completely different, however, when someone else has done all the work and I just have to pick a fresh salad for dinner. We’re pretty sure this is all edible; if you see anything that looks like a flower or poisonous, please let us know.
